Mountaineers and potholers have the time of their lives in Albania! Between the highest peak of Mount Korabi, (2,751 m above sea level), the cliffs of Llogara, Mount Nemercka in the south and a vast range of mountains throughout the country, mountaineering and climbing really come into their own in the land of eagles.

Other great climbing areas are the Albanian Alps, with Vermosh, Theth, Razëm, Bogë, Valbona, Tomori mountain in Berat, Osumi canyon or the Gjipe canyon on the Albanian Riviera.

Throughout Albania, intrepid explorers will also find many vast caves just waiting to be discovered. Around Shkodër there are at least 35 major caves out of a total of 68 classified as national natural monuments. Other well-known caves include Pëllumbas, near Tirana, Pirrogoshi in Skrapar, Kabashi in Gramsh, Neziri in Mat, Lek Pete in Kurvelesh and many others.
